Conway Quilt Repair
Bringing new life to old quilts!
email: Phone: 413-369-6036
Conway Quilts is a home-based studio located in Conway, in the hills of Western Massachusetts. I am Carol Baldwin, a quilter who has been sewing and repairing quilts for over 30 years, and my lifetime of sewing experience started at age six, when my Grandmother Flora Stock taught me to sew. My very first quilt repair was done on great-grandmother Alice Stock's 1920 Flying Geese quilt, and I've enjoyed the work so much that it has become a home-based business, with quilts sent to me from all over the United States, thanks to many referrals from friends and associates.
I have taught quilting in public libraries, done commission work for special occasions and memorials using loved one's clothing, and I work wonders with damaged antique quilts and vintage fabrics as my specialty. The fabric in old quilts is very fragile- and my repair methods include patching, adding fabric to a block, and repairing holes and tears with fused backing. I can also clean quilts, using hand washing and gentle soap, then air drying the quilt.

Your quilt will be treated with the utmost care, and whether very old or not-so-old, it will be made to last for generations to come.

You may send me an email at, or phone me  at 413-369-6036.

Estimates are FREE.
Tell me about your quilt,  and I will respond promptly. We can make an appointment for you to visit me at my studio in Conway, MA, or you can mail me your quilt with return shipping included, and I will give you a FREE estimate for repairs.

Most people choose to mail their quilts; here are some comments from customers:
